How actor Anthony Hopkins simply relaxes and enjoys his job

He doesn't feel comfortable with great admiration people feel for him. Throughout the interview, Anthony Hopkins seems uneasy about such enthusiasm. He says again and again that his job as actor has to do merely with learning a script and repeating in correctly in front of a camera. At age 74, with an Oscar for his stunning performance of Hannibal Lecter in The Silence of Lambs, and three other  nominations, Hopkins actually Sir Anthony Hopkins since he was knighted in 1993 is one the world's most respected film actors.

In 1965, this Welshman conquered the London theater scene and since 1968 has had a constant presence in the movies, but he seems far more interested in other things. He has become a brilliant abstract painter and a classical music composer.

Hopkins is married to his third wife, Stella Arroyave, a Colombian woman who is 20 years younger than him. He admits that Stella was the reason for his new artistic interests. This includes the making of a surrealist film, Slipstream shown at the Sundance Film Festival five years ago.

He took the acting role of Odin, father of Thor, in Thor, a 2011 film based on a Marvel comic book character. The film also starred Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman. A sequel, Thor 2, has been announced for 2013.
